Seminole Group - Platinum

Platinum is used in the refinement process of Petroleum!

Platinum is a gray-white mineral of the precious metals group of elements. This rare metal is heavy, malleable and ductile, meaning it has the ability to be deformed. Platinum is an element that has a high economic value.

Platinum is a precious metal that is shiny and lustrous, resistant to corrosion, and does not oxidize at any temperature. These characteristics make platinum well suited for fine jewelry.

The most common use for platinum is as a catalyst for chemical reactions. It is also used in the petroleum refinement, called a “Craking” process, which breaks down crude oil into smaller organic molecules such as gasoline.
